A Shaker High student joins top international students in a clean tech competition.

The goal of the Spellman High Voltage Electronics Contest was to create solutions for sustainable energy use - as well as combat health, climate change, and other environmental issues.

Latham's Nathan Wang - part of Team Posaidon, with students from Colorado and Finland - aimed to create a high-tech lure for sustainable sport fishing.

The goal is to prevent overfishing.

The team was recognized as a top 10 "abundant resources" finalist out of nearly 400 submissions.
