UAlbany Mesonet helping middle schoolers compare and contrast weather data

CLIFTON PARK – New York State has the nation’s largest early detection network for severe weather.

A science teacher at Shen is using the Mesonet at UAlbany in her lesson plans.

In January and February, Crystal Perno asked her middle school students to compare and contrast data from the 126 weather stations across the state.

Perno has a degree in atmospheric science.
