If you've never heard of a social architect, meet Aida Ayuk. The third-year architecture student from RPI, who lives in the DC area, believes in building and repurposing buildings to change people's lives.

Her goal is design buildings with spaces that meet the needs of the tenants, like buildings with work spaces so moms can care for their kids and work from home.

Changing the world through architecture has sent Ayuk to also look at creating homes using nontraditional energy sources.

Learn more about her goals and see what this looks like by watching the video of Elaine Houston's story.
