Former Amsterdam mayor continues to show off creative side

A woman known for leading the city of Amsterdam for eight years also has a very creative side she says has been with her most of her life.

Ann Thane's love of art never waned and while mayor you could see her appreciation of it throughout the city.

Three years ago after leaving office, she went all-in on something that's always been a part of her life. She does painting, sculpting, and mosaic art.

She's currently involved in a community mosaic near the Amsterdam Riverfront.

She's sharing her progress on social media.
 
Thane says this is a wonderful time for her and her art but she also believes this is a great time for women of all ages and encourages them to embrace find their voices.
