Three years ago after leaving office, she went all-in on something that's always been a part of her life. She does painting, sculpting, and mosaic art.

She's currently involved in a community mosaic near the Amsterdam Riverfront.

She's sharing her progress on social media.
Thane says this is a wonderful time for her and her art but she also believes this is a great time for women of all ages and encourages them to embrace find their voices.
