How many times have you gone to the doctor, but afterwards were not quite sure of the doctor's instructions? Now you don't have to go to the doctor alone. A new service will send someone with you to turn that medical jargon into plain English.

Coretta Killikelly started CEK-RN in Albany after working as a nurse at the VA. She realized there was a disconnect between a doctor's instructions to patients and what patients actually heard or understood.

"As a nurse, I realized that when people come in to see the doctor, they then ask the nurse, 'What did the doctor want me to do?,'" she recalled.

After years of seeing the confusion of patients following a visit to the doctor, she started this consulting group to help them.

Learn why Killikelly says having an advocate can be so important by watching the video of Elaine Houston's story.
