So in 2008, she started the company Shoot Like A Girl, which until the coronavirus, allowed her to travel across the country in an RV, empowering women to learn to shoot.

She hosts 2,500-3,000 women a year - with 163,000 followers on Facebook.

Since the coronavirus pandemic, gun sales have soared and she says a recent survey spearheaded by Shoot Like A Girl shows the increase is coming from new gun owners - people who are fearful.

Learn more about how many women expect crime to increase during the pandemic, by watching the video of Elaine Houston’s story.
