Janet Tanguay has helped dozens of women accomplish their dreams of entrepreneurship for years. Then the phrase "put your money where your mouth is" started to apply to her.
Tanguay is living her dream. From her apartment next to Rivers Casino in Schenectady, she can take to a boat, a kayak or even a hammock. She calls it "The Hammock Way of Life," which is actually the name of her company.
She says you don't have to be rich and famous to have this lifestyle and get to stop and smell the flowers. Even in this time of uncertainty, she's finding more people are taking a risk to become entrepreneurs.
Tanguay has always chosen a series of jobs - many part-time, in order to have more freedom and control of her life.
For more than a decade, she worked for the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce, holding entrepreneur bootcamp sessions, teaching those tired of the regular 9 to 5 shift the basics of running a business. However, several years ago, something happened, and she decided to jump in.
Learn more about how the shift has helped her by watching the video of Elaine Houston's story.
