Twelve officers in the Albany Police Department are climbing the ranks.
Mayor Kathy Sheehan and Police Chief Eric Hawkins will hold a promotion ceremony at City Hall Monday.
Seven officers are being promoted to sergeant, two to the role of lieutenant, one to commander, and two deputy chiefs.
