Citizen tip leads to arrest on Clinton Avenue

Police arrest two people Saturday, after getting a tip about people with guns on Clinton Avenue in Albany.

Police say they were responded to the 200 block of Clinton Ave. where they arrested 31-year-old Melikua Davis of Menands and 29-year-old Khalief Young of Menands after they were found with a loaded 9 millimeter handgun.

Police tell us they also found drugs on Davis.

Davis was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

Young was charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, one count of Menacing and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Both were arraigned Saturday morning in Albany City Criminal Court and remain in custody at the Albany County Jail.
