Fire heavily damages Schenectady home
SCHENECTADY – A fire at a Schenectady home is under investigation.
It happened around midnight early Monday at 1121 Seventh Avenue.
Three people jumped from the second floor to escape. They were taken to Albany Med with non-life threatening injuries.
Four other people on the first floor got out safely.
Firefighters first went in to make sure everyone was out, then attacked the fierce flames. Crews kept it from spreading to the building next door. No firefighters were hurt.
