Gov. Hochul announces big childcare investments

Gov. Kathy Hochul says the state is putting big money toward early childhood education.

The governor says the state budget will provide an additional $125 million to expand access to full-day Pre-K for 4-year-old children.

The state is also investing money to support the child care workforce by providing grants to providers, including wage increases, tuition reimbursement and more.
