NYSUT calls for big changes to future of education

When it comes to education, getting back to pre-pandemic life is not good enough. That’s according to the New York State United Teachers Union.

They’ve released the findings of their Future Forward report, which looked at challenges facing students and educators.

NYSUT says it’s time to redefine public education, and provide mental health services, free school meals for all students and expanded universal Pre-K.

The report also calls for development of alternatives to standardized testing that can more accurately measure student learning.
