A new law in Vermont will give people who are adopted greater access to their adoption records.
Starting July 1 of next year, people born in Vermont will have unrestricted access to a copy of their original birth certificate. It does not matter where the adoption took place.
Starting this October, biological parents can let the state know their preference when it comes to contact with the adoptee
