Local and state police in Vermont are teaming up for extra patrols next week leading into the July Fourth holiday.

Next week, police will have extra patrols out. They will look for speeding, aggressive driving, and impaired driving.

As of last week, Vermont has had 17 motor vehicle crash deaths.

This time last year, there were only eight deaths on Vermont roads, and in 2018, the number of deaths was 21.
