Vermont's primary elections are happening on August 11, and officials are encouraging voters to return their absentee ballots as soon as possible.

If you are voting via mail-in ballots, you must send it back by August 11, or hand deliver it to your town clerk's office by then.

Ballots for the general election are also going out - those can be hand delivered on Election Day in November at any polling place.

To go over all of this, Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos is holding a Facebook Live event this afternoon. The event begins at 2 p.m.
