A company in the Berkshires wants to expand its operations. Berkshire Roots, in Pittsfield, wants to demolish a bowling alley that closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The company tells NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle it wants to build a marijuana cultivation and processing facility in its place.
The proposal has to be approved by the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals. The new building would be about 100,000 square feet, split between two stories.
