Crews in Pittsfield have recovered the body of a struggling swimmer.

Two fishermen on Silver Lake called 911 after they heard a swimmer yelling for help Monday afternoon. They say he looked to be in his 50s or 60s.

The fire department used three rescue swimmers and a boat to try to save the man.

It turned into a recovery mission.

They found the man's body around 9 p.m.
