Driver crashes into porch in Pittsfield

Pittsfield police are investigating after a pickup truck crashed into a front porch.

It happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday at 233 Elm Street.


Police said the 26-year-old driver suffered from a medical emergency when his truck left the roadway and hit the front porch, causing extensive damage to both the home and vehicle.

Emergency crews transported the driver to Berkshire Medical Center, and the driver is expected to be okay.

Police are asking anyone with any information about the crash to give them a call.
