A Berkshire County man, accused of setting fire to hay bales with a political message on them, is expected back in court Friday.

Lonnie Durfee, 49, is accused of using gas and motor oil to set fire to hay bales at Holiday Brook Farm last Friday. The display showed support for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign. The farm replaced the hay bales, and they have a new message.

Friday’s hearing is because Berkshire County District Attorney Andrea Harrington requested that Durfee be held as a danger to the community.
