The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported 33 additional coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 89.
There are now more than 6,000 coronavirus cases in the state. All but five of the newly reported deaths were in their 70s, 80s or 90s.
The majority of cases continue to be in Middlesex County and Suffolk County.
The governor also extended the stay-at-home advisory and non-essential business closure until May 4.
