Pittsfield police investigating armed robbery

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in Pittsfield.

It happened Friday night at the XtraMart on Merrill Road.


Police said a masked man walked in, pulled out a gun and demanded cash before taking off.

The suspect is described as being a 6-foot tall man. He was wearing a full ski mask, green sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers.
