Dave Smith earns five-year contract extension at RPI

RPI men’s hockey head coach Dave Smith received a five-year contract extension to remain on through the 2026-2027 season. The school made the announcement on Thursday. Smith, who is starting his fifth season as head coach, has led the Engineers to increased win totals every season. RPI went 18-23-3 last season and lost in the second round of the ECAC Tournament to Harvard.
