Section 2 Champions crowned for girls gymnastics

Shaker hosted the 2023 Section 2 girls gymnastics competition, where four teams battled for the top spot. For the 22nd year, Saratoga earned the team title, while Shaker-Colonie, Bethlehem and Guilderland followed. Kate Browne of Bethlehem took home the overall title, and NewsChannel 13’s Chief Meteorologist Paul Caiano’s daughter Alyssa was 6th overall, earning her a spot to compete at the state championship. Congratulations to the 70 athletes that competed.
