There's good news to report on COVID-19 cases in Albany County. The 7-day average positivity rate is down below 2% at just 1.6%.
There were 58 new cases reported, but the number of COVID patients in hospitals is going down.
In a morning briefing, Dan McCoy congratulated residents on a job well done.
"We're getting there. The light's at the end of the tunnel. We just need to continue to do the right thing," said McCoy.
County Health Commissioner Dr. Elizabeth Whalen announced a shipment of 2,900 vaccines arrived Monday that will be used for those second doses that had to be canceled last week due to weather delays across the country.
