Albany County reports 87 new COVID-19 cases

Albany County Executive Dan McCoy says there have been 87 new positive cases of the coronavirus between Thursday and Friday.

Of the 87 new cases, 59 do not have a clear source of infection at this time.

The number of people who are under mandatory quarantine has also increased. There are now 1,962 people under mandatory quarantine, up from 1,941 on Thursday.

County Executive McCoy also reported five new hospitalizations since his briefing on Thursday. There are currently 45 people in the hospital, and 10 of those people are in the ICU.
