Albany County reports largest COVID hospitalizations since March 6

Albany County is now reporting the largest number of county residents hospitalized since March 6.

County leaders said Thursday that 37 people are currently hospitalized with the virus, a net increase of eight from the day before.

Meanwhile, the county is reporting 86 new positive cases, with a 7-day positivity rate of 4.7%.

There are currently 449 cases in the county, a slight drop from 460 the day before.

The county says 70% of all Albany County residents have had at least one vaccine dose, with 64.3% fully vaccinated.
