ALBANY - The wait is over for movie fans in Albany. The Spectrum Theatre on Delaware Avenue is officially back open for business.

The theater is an Albany staple, with a corporate backing.

It's one of the last to re-open in the Landmark Theatre Group.

The theater shut down more than a year ago due to COVID-19.

Most of their employees from last year are returning, and the belief is customers will do the same.

While re-openings in other states were slow at first, business is picking up industry-wide.

Landmark's President and COO says as a company, they've made sure all of their theaters meet Centers for Disease Control and local state guidance.
