Bars and restaurants across the state can now stay open later.

The curfew extended Monday from 11 p.m. to midnight. Weddings and catered events will also be allowed to stay open an hour later until 1 a.m.

Many Capital Region restaurant owners NewsChannel 13 spoke with say this extra hour is progress, but at the same time argue it's time to drop the curfew altogether.

Over the past few months, Gov. Cuomo has slowly loosened COVID-related restrictions in restaurants and bars. They can now have up to 75% percent capacity.
