Senate Republican Leader Rob Ortt and Assembly GOP Leader Will Barclay are calling for the removal of Gov. Cuomo's emergency powers.
Ortt said he planned to introduce a bill Monday. He says 14 Senate Democrats have agreed to support the push.
Barclay plans to introduce similar legislation in the Assembly.
Republicans said they were hoping to pass the bills the same day.
They say they've introduced the same legislation 14 times since January, and it has been rejected every time.
