New York's senior senator says more help is on the way.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was in Glens Falls Friday to say the federal government is eager to help businesses and families recover from the pandemic.

Schumer says every segment of our population and our economy will be getting federal help.

"Help is on the way" was the refrain throughout Schumer's visit to Glens Falls.

Schumer highlighted many of the ways the feds are providing direct funding to people and organizations in need. There's the $1,400 checks for nine million New Yorkers, the billions of dollars for struggling restaurants, and $16 billion to "Save our Stages." That includes

The Wood Theater, which has sat mostly dark for nearly 13 months.

The Wood's executive director says the federal money provides a glimmer of hope during what has been a hopeless time for the performing arts.
