Albany County reports 8 new coronavirus cases; 1 from Hudson Avenue party

Albany County Executive Dan McCoy reported eight new cases of coronavirus in an email briefing on Thursday. That makes 72 active cases currently, down from 84 on Wednesday.

Two people are in the hospital, making the hospitalization rate 0.08%.


One of the new positive cases was linked to the Fourth of July party on Hudson Avenue in Albany. The total for that group now stands at 44.
