Come Tuesday, teens and young adults over age 16 will be eligible to sign-up for the coronavirus vaccine. However, there are a few things you need to know before that.

While people 18 years and older can have any of the three vaccines currently available, 16 and 17 year olds will be limited to just Pfizer.

Parental permission is also needed for 16 to 18 years olds.

While Pfizer is being given out at the Washington Avenue Armory and UAlbany sites, the county says Walmart pharmacy locations in Albany and Glenmont, as well as the Sam's Club in Latham, are offering the Pfizer vaccine starting Saturday.

Health Commissioner Dr. Elizabeth Whalen says getting this younger group vaccinated is critical.
