Cuomo: NY has <1% positivity rate for 35th straight day

New York state is marking its 35th day with a coronavirus positivity rate of less than 1%.

Gov. Cuomo's office says 0.98% percent of tests came back positive on Thursday.


In the Capital Region, the positivity rate dropped from 1.4% on Wednesday to 1.2% on Thursday.

In the Mohawk Valley, the positivity rate rose from 0.4% on Wednesday to 1.0% on Thursday.

The highest positivity rating in the state on Thursday was Western New York at 1.5%.

Unfortunately, another five people across the state died. None of them were from the Capital Region or Mohawk Valley.
