Cuomo: NY's coronavirus infection rate is 1.5%

Gov. Andrew Cuomo gave an update via phone Wednesday on coronavirus cases.

He said 1.5% of tests came back positive on Tuesday.


There are 1,085 people in the hospital.

In the Capital Region, the positivity rate dropped from 1.3% on Monday to 1.1% on Tuesday.

In the Mohawk Valley, the positivity rate dropped from 1.1% on Monday to 0.9% on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, another 15 people died from the virus on Tuesday. That includes one person from Columbia County and one person from Oneida County.
