Cuomo extends ban on evictions to Jan. 1

A statewide ban on evictions will continue for the rest of the year.

Gov. Cuomo announced Monday that the new deadline for the moratorium on residential evictions is Jan. 1.

The order limiting commercial evictions is also extended.

In Massachusetts, a ban on evictions is set to expire on Oct. 17. Gov. Charlie Baker has implied he does not plan to extend that deadline.
