New York has lost billions in revenue during the pandemic.

NewsChannel 13 reported in July that the Higher Education Services Corporation was putting new applications on hold.

Now the HESC says they are giving out scholarships for the fall 2020 semester, but may stop there.

Spokesperson Angela Liotta tells the cable network the level of federal funding to New York will determine the state budget and funding for financial aid programs.
