Face masks in public places are now optional in Vermont. Gov. Phil Scott says this is because COVID hospitalization rates have dropped and the majority of the population is now vaccinated.

School districts in Bennington County say masks are optional for students.

As a result of a recent change in federal regulation, masks are no longer required on school buses.
