Capital Region hotels eagerly await return of travelers

New data paints a bleak picture for the American hospitality industry, as experts say many hotels could be forced to close.

In Saratoga Springs, hotel operators are committed to keeping the lights on and say they're staying afloat thanks to business and military travelers.

However, according to hotel industry analysts, there have been one billion empty rooms this year. That's nearly 50% more empty room nights than 2019.
