Once you fill out the application, you need to submit the request to your local election office. Make sure to leave plenty of time before Election Day on November 3.

The pandemic may have changed voting plans for some, but many still feel comfortable voting in person.

“I will be going to the polls. I went to the polls for the primary. I would just say you go in as you normally did. Practice your social distancing, wear your face mask, have your hand sanitizer and everything should be fine,” Cindy Williams of Chicopee told NewsChannel 13’s NBC affiliate in Springfield.

The deadline to request a ballot by mail is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28.
