Late-Saratoga Springs business owner, councilman to be honored with his own day

A longtime Saratoga Springs business owner and city councilman who passed away from coronavirus will be honored with his own day.

The Saratoga Springs City Council has declared Feb. 20, 2021 Matt McCabe Day.

A virtual celerbation of his life and work will take place at Caffe Lena that day.

McCabe, 63, was the longtime owner of Saratoga Guitar. He also served two terms as city finance commissioner in the early 2000s.

He leaves behind three sons.
