Open enrollment for New Yorkers extended amid pandemic

Open enrollment for uninsured New Yorkers will be extended through the end of March amid the pandemic. The deadline is now March 31.

Gov. Cuomo says the open enrollment period helps align the state with the  federal public health emergency, which was recently extended to April 20.


Here are some dates to take note of:

  • If you enroll by February 15, coverage starts on March 1.
  • If you enroll by March 15, coverage starts on April 1.
  • If you enroll by March 31, coverage starts May 1.
