QUEENSBURY - If you have a favorite pub, you know the experience and camaraderie are just as important as what's on the menu.
The Tavern in Queensbury has been a favorite pub for many locals who have been faithfully placing their takeout orders - hoping it can stay open for business.

Takeout was a small part of what they did, but when faced with it being their only business, they didn't hesitate.
Penny Gelheiser, manager, waitress, and bartender - says it's been tough not knowing what to expect one day to the next. They're down to about a third of their regular staff - all working hard to keep pumping out menu favorites.

If you can't get out to pick orders up, they've got you covered with free delivery.

Gelheiser says she feels like they've got the takeout thing all figured out. However, she hopes they won't need to do it for too long - because she misses the relationship with the customers.

Learn about some of their daily specials, by watching the video of Jerry Gretzinger's story.
