Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin is refusing to let state inspectors into the county nursing home.

He wrote a letter to Health Commissioner Howard Zucker, accusing his team of not following the state guidelines.

In the letter, McLaughlin says seven inspectors visited Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home, but had no proof that they had tested negative for coronavirus.

NewsChannel 13 has a call out to the New York State Health Department for a response.
