Tracking the spread of coronavirus has been simplified by an RPI professor and a colleague at the University of Washington.
Using an app and some laboratory science, they can track where people go and see how that corresponds to outbreaks and death.
RPI Professor Yunfeng Shi and University of Washington Professor Jeffrey Ban turned to a transmission model based on one used to predict chemical reactions.
That was married to information from the Google app, Mobility, and data from Johns Hopkins on deaths from coronavirus.
Learn more about how it all comes together by watching the video of Benita Zahn's story.
