SARATOGA SPRINGS - The Saratoga Springs City Center is showing off its ability to put on safe, socially distant trade shows and conventions.

They've re-worked the space in an effort to book groups as soon as possible.

Small conventions and conferences are big business in Saratoga Springs. The people who book them say it's time to welcome them back.

They're set up for a trade show at the Saratoga Springs City Center. There are different sizes of booths, varying distances apart.

It's only for show. The City Center and Discover Saratoga partnered with a local events planning company to set up this space as a demonstration.

They're showing meeting planners how they can do trade shows and conventions safely as we emerge from a pandemic. It includes wider booths, taller dividers, and arrows on the floor to keep people moving in the right direction.

After 14 months with virtually no activity, the mock trade show is a way to get a jump-start on the meeting and conference business.

Learn about how quickly groups could be holding in-person trade shows by watching the video of Mark Mulholland's story.
