SUNY Schenectady is delaying the start of the spring semester.

Students were supposed to return on Tuesday for in-person classes. However, the college changed its plans on Friday.

Students will start classes virtually on January 24, with the exception of some aviation, culinary arts, music and science labs.

All in-person classes are set to begin on February 7.

The college says the decision was made to help ensure the safety and well-being of members of the college community.
