Gov. Phil Scott has extended the state of emergency in Vermont to November 15.
Gov. Scott announced the change hours before a previous extension was set to expire. This is the seventh time the state has extended the state of emergency since it was first declared in March.
The state will see an eased process for receiving aid at a state and municipal level under the declaration.
It will also allow state officials to put forward additional public health regulations or modify ones already in place.
The Vermont Department of Health also announced 14 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.
