A tried and true technology at Saratoga Hospital paid big dividends when the pandemic hit.

It's a communication system that's helping save time, money, and prevent a shortage of PPE.

The device called Vocera is worn by most all staffers who have direct patient interaction.

The key to its value nowadays is that it works underneath the PPE.

Vocera went online back in December 2014.

Saratoga Hospital uses 500 of the rechargeable devices. Fifty were added when the pandemic hit.

Learn more about how it works and how it has become invaluable, by watching the video of Benita Zahn's story.
