Albany man admits to burglary of phone store
An Albany man has admitted to breaking into and damaging the T-Mobile store on Central Avenue.
Derrick Buggs, 36, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary. Buggs broke into the store at 465 Central Ave. on March 10 and caused $1,500 in damage. He also stole two cash registers that had a total of about $600, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office said.
Briggs broke into the same building the next day, and stole about $200 worth of cell phones, police said.
Buggs faces 3 ½ to 7 years in prison when sentenced on June 17.
