The Cohoes Winter Carnival is on Saturday, Feb. 8.

There is free hot chocolate, hot dogs, s’mores, as well horse and carriage rides and games.

The event is sponsored by the city of Cohoes, police and fire departments and neighborhood watch.

It takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Van Schaick Island Pond.
